Quiz Night — Every Tuesday, 8:30 PM. Our famous weekly pub quiz. Tables are first come, first served, gather your team and head down early to grab a good spot. No table bookings after 6pm.
Live Music — Every Friday, 10:00 PM. Live bands and folk sessions every Friday night, Scottish folk, acoustic and rock. Just walk in and enjoy the atmosphere.
Live Sport — All Season, 3 big screens. All the football, rugby and big matches shown across our three large screens. A cosy spot to watch the game with a perfect pint.
Sunday Roast — Every Sunday, from 12pm. A proper Scottish roast every Sunday, slow-cooked meat, all the trimmings and a real fire in winter. The perfect lazy afternoon.

The Bailie has stood on St Stephen Street since the 1870s, when it first opened its doors as the working man's Grand Bar. It was renamed The Bailie in 1971, and then more than doubled in size during the 1980s when the current owners took over and extended into the neighbouring cellars.
The Bailie serves honest Scottish pub food in the heart of Stockbridge, Edinburgh, with a menu of specials that changes often alongside the classics, and a kitchen open daily from 12pm to 8:45pm. Behind the bar you'll find our cask ales, two permanent and two rotating from mostly Scottish breweries, plus a wide selection of whiskies, wines and cocktails. We're a dog-friendly pub too, with four-legged regulars welcome in the bar area every week.
Food: daily specials, fresh Scottish ingredients, food 12pm–8:45pm, weekend roast.
Cask Ales & Whisky: 2 permanent (Pentland IPA, Timothy Taylor Landlord) + 2 rotating, wide whisky selection.

Where to find us
You'll find us on the corner of St Stephen Street and Kerr Street, right in the heart of Stockbridge, one of Edinburgh's most characterful neighbourhoods. We're open Monday to Thursday from 11am till midnight, Friday and Saturday till 1am, and Sunday from 12:30pm. The kitchen serves daily from 12pm till 8:45pm.
